DeafIT: The IT Conference for people with hearing disabilities
The DeafIT Conference has the focus on all Deaf, Hard-of-Hearing and CI-User who work or want to work in the IT (Information & Technology) sector. It should create a platform and conference where all hearing impaired people from all over the world can exchange their IT expertise.

Report from the 5th DeafIT Conference 2018 in the DGZ
A report on the 5th DeafIT Conference 2018 in the issue of the Deutsche Gehörlosenzeitung (DGZ). Editor-in-chief Thomas Mitterhuber was there and wrote about the DeafIT and the jubilee celebration. At the same time he reveals a little about the future of the DeafIT conference.

JS congress in German sign language (DGS)
On 11 and 12 March 2019 the JS congress with excellent speakers about the Java Script programming language will take place in the old congress hall in Munich. The German sign language interpreter of the DeafIT Conference 2018, Christian Pflugfelder, will translate the 2-day congress in German Sign Language (DGS) continuously for the Deaf Community. The slogan is: "Join the (r)evolution of Architectures". Take the chance to attend the barrer-free Tech congress.

Accessibility Event: A-Tag´18 in Wien
Am Donnerstag, den 20. September 2018 findet das Accessibility Event der A-Tag´18 in Wien statt. Der seit 2006 statt findende A-Tag ist der Treffpunkt für Internet-Accessibility und wird veranstaltet vom Verein "accessible media". Der A-Tag´18 ist auch für Gehörlose barrierefrei und wird in Gebärdensprache übersetzt. Nicole vom DeafIT-Team wird vor Ort sein und DeafIT-Speaker Jo Spelbrink antreffen. Seid dabei! DeafIT bei den 6. Kulturtagen der Gehörlosen in Potsdam
Über 100 Zuschauer verfolgten den Vortrag von Tobias Burz und Manuel Gnerlich über die "Künstliche Intelligenz (KI) mit ihren Chancen und Risiken für die Gehörlosengesellschaft" während der
6. Kulturtage der Gehörlosen im Forum Technologie. Die Zuschauer waren davon ziemlich beeindruckt und konnten sich ein besseres Bild von KI machen.
11. November 2017:
Das war die 4. DeafIT Konferenz in Frankfurt am Main
In der „Finanzhauptstadt Deutschlands“ - Frankfurt am Main wurde die 4. DeafIT Conference nach 3 Konferenzen in München, Nürnberg und Hamburg durchgeführt.
Wir durften auf der Konferenz neben den vielen Teilnehmern aus allen Teilen Deutschlands und aus Österreich auch zum ersten Mal einen aus der Schweiz sowie Hörende begrüßen.

May 18, 2018: DeafIT at the 6. Kulturtage der Gehörlosen ("6th Culture days of the Deaf") in Potsdam
More than 100 visitors watched the presentation from Tobias Burz and Manuel Gnerlich about the "Artifical Intelligence (AI) with their chances and risks for the Deaf community during the 6. Kulturtage der Gehörlosen in the Forum Technology. The spectators were very impressed and could get a better picture about the AI.
November 10/11, 2017: That was the 4th DeafIT conference in Frankfurt am Main
In the "German business capitol" - Frankfurt am Main - the 4th DeafIT Conference was conducted after the three preceding conferences in Munich, Nuremberg and Hamburg.
We may welcome not only the many participants from Germany and Austria but the first time one from Switzerland and the hearing people at the conference of this year.
